We often talk about scrap metal prices and how you can make money off of bringing your scrap to Bee Green. By now, if you’re reading all of our blogs, you’re basically an expert! We wanted to take the opportunity to talk about something a little different this time around! It’s time to discuss what actually happens throughout the entire scrap metal recycling process!
The Scrap Metal Recycling Process
Bee Green is all about getting you paid, quickly, easily, and with as little fuss as possible. It’s an approach our customers love, and our continually growing client base is proof of that. Our fully enclosed scrap metal recycling facility is the perfect place for hobby scrappers to bring a bag of cans and hardcore scrappers to bring a truckload of appliances. If you’ve got it, and we take it, we’ll pay you for it!
That’s all some customers care to know about the process… and we’re all good with that! However, sometimes a curious scrapper will come along and ask us about the scrap metal recycling process, and we’re happy to oblige!
Step One: We weigh and unload your scrap, then send you on your way with money in your pocket.
Step Two: We sort and process all of the scrap you brought in. Anything that we can’t use goes to recycling facilities and landfills. We try not to waste anything, but sometimes trash is trash!
Step Three: Once all the scrap is sorted, we get in touch with industrial mills and factories throughout the country, to see how best to distribute the sorted scrap.
Step Four: We sell the scrap to the mills. They will process it, purify it, smelt it down, and reuse it for their products. It’s recycling 101!
