Wire recycling can be very profitable for scrappers throughout Richmond! You can find different types of wire all over the place… but the most valuable is copper! In this blog, we’ll go over the most common places to find these profitable wires – and how you can get paid for selling them to Bee Green! Read on…
Where can I find wire for recycling?
This stuff is everywhere… but you do need to know where to look! The most common place is old and unused appliances, ranging from small to large. We will pay good money for the wires in these appliances! Remember to remove all the wires from any appliances before you throw them out.
This might be a little more advanced, but there’s a big payoff! Many of our more ambitious scrappers will take electronics classes so they can learn how to more efficiently convert old and unused electronics into cash. As a bonus – often times these classes produce a whole lot of busted electronics from people trying to learn the trade. Ask the instructor if you can take them!
Another good tip – do some networking! Make friends with the local repair shops, computer shops, electrical shops, and contractors. You’d be surprised how much recyclable wire and electronic scrap these guys can generate, that they’re willing to let you take!
