We want you to know… if you’re stuck at home, it doesn’t mean you can’t be making money. Maybe it won’t be cash-in-hand, like when you bring your scrap in to Bee Green Recycling. However, we’ve got some insight on how you can come out of this situation with a more efficient (meaning more cash per hour) scrapping technique. Time spent at home isn’t always a bad thing: it can be a prime opportunity to become a well-oiled scrapping machine!
What To Do When You’re Stuck in the Workshop
During challenging times, if you can’t get to Bee Green to generate that extra money for your scrap metal, you can still be productive in planning for your next trip:
- Find New Tools: Research and buy new tools that will help you scrap faster/get more scrap out of each item.
- Repair Old Tools: Scrapping can be rough on the tools you have on-hand. Clean them up, patch them up, and oil them up. Doing so can keep them from breaking down the next time you are out scrapping, which means you’re saving money.
- Get Your Books in Order: If you don’t have a ledger, it’s time to sit down and start one. We suggest you start by noting your expenses, how much you’ve been paid for scrap, and how many hours you spend out there scrapping. If you do have a ledger, it’s catch up time!
- Scrap On Hand: Now is a great time to break down the scrap you have as much as you can… or learn new techniques for scrap retrieval. Both of these will help you get paid more!
Hang in There, Scrappers!
Following the above advice will help you to maximize your time both at Bee Green and before you arrive. Sounds good right? Then get to work!
